Supplier Terms
Last updated: 05/11/2026
These terms apply to suppliers, in addition to the Platform Terms. QuoteMyEvent is operated by [legal operator name: to be confirmed by the owner].
1. Becoming a verified supplier
- To apply you must complete your profile: business name, description, at least one service category, a UK postcode we can recognise, and a current public liability insurance certificate.
- An administrator reviews each application. You cannot send quotes until your profile is verified.
- If you later change your business name, postcode or service categories, your profile returns to review before you can quote again.
- You confirm that the information and documents you provide are accurate and belong to your business.
2. Insurance
- You must keep public liability insurance in force for as long as you are verified.
- We send reminders 30 days and 7 days before your certificate expires.
- If the expiry date passes, your account is suspended automatically. While suspended you are not matched to new events and cannot send quotes or accept bookings.
- To come back, upload a current certificate. Your profile then returns to review, and an administrator must approve it. An administrator cannot reinstate an insurance suspension by hand without a new certificate.
- Bookings already confirmed are not removed because of a suspension.
3. Tokens
- You use tokens to respond to hosts. Your first message or quote on an event costs 2 tokens. Further messages and quote revisions on that same event are free.
- You can send up to five quotes in total for a service category on an event. Declining or withdrawing a quote does not free up a place.
- The token cost is returned to you if: a quote is not opened by the host within seven days; the host or an administrator withdraws or cancels the event; or you messaged first and every place in your categories fills before you quote. Refunds return exactly what was charged, are not given for events with a confirmed booking, and appear in your token history.
- New suppliers receive 60 welcome tokens when their supplier profile is first created, once per account. You can spend them once you are verified.
- Referrals: you can invite other suppliers with your referral link. When a supplier you referred is verified and you are verified too, you receive 50 tokens for that referral, for up to 10 referrals. You can see your progress but not who you referred.
4. Quotes and your conduct with hosts
- Quotes must be honest and reflect what you can deliver.
- Do not share your phone number, email address, social media handles or other contact details before a booking is confirmed. Attempts are filtered and may be reviewed.
- Files you attach to messages are reviewed before the host can open them.
5. Photographs
Photographs you upload are covered by the Photo Rights page. You must have the rights to use them.
6. Warnings, strikes and suspension
- An administrator can give a warning or a strike, or suspend an account. We record the reason and who decided.
- We do not issue strikes automatically because of a report.
- You can appeal each warning or strike once, within 30 days of the decision. Appeals are reviewed by an administrator, who records the outcome and the reason. Upholding an appeal does not automatically remove the earlier decision or end a suspension.
- If a suspension is lifted through the reinstatement process, your profile returns to review rather than straight to verified.
7. Your contract with hosts
8. Changes and the law
